Animator, illustrator & filmmaker
Experienced animator, animation director, character designer, content producer and project manager, I am a one-stop shop for short animation. I work from scripts and specs either for my own company in Ireland, Whackala, or for clients. I team up and manage other animators, artists and sound designers for the bigger projects. I have worked for renowned companies internationally in different capacities in animation production.
I am proficient in design, animation and visual effects software: Adobe CC packages, MOHO formerly (Anime Studio Pro), SketchBook Pro, Spine, Anima2D.

Created with game development software Unity 3D and Fungus. I have been collaborating with the Fungus creators, Snozbot, by contributing to the development of their software, running their online training and also workshops hosted by Google, Coding Grace & Animation Skillnet amongst others.

I animated, composited and delivered the pilot for Keg Kartoonz's BAI application, which was successful and led to the production of the series by animation studio Kavaleer Productions.

The documentary contains a stop-motion animated sequence narrating the rise of the Zapatista rebels in Mexico, which I animated entirely. The documentary was awarded Best Film at NodoDocFest, Italy, 2009

I was in Australia for all of 2003, where I worked for Liquid Animation in Brisbane, an animation studio which produced content for clients. I worked in different capacities: technical direction, assistant to the animation director, head of the in-betweening department and SFX design for the following productions:

2001 - 2002
I co-founded Kavaleer Productions in Dublin in 2001 and worked in production, animation, technical direction and SFX until I left after my return from Australia. I worked in the following short films:
The Depository Funded by Frameworks, Irish Film Board. 2nd prize in the Galway Film Fleadh 2003.
The Milliner Frameworks, Irish Film Board (Winner of Best 3D animation and Digital Storytelling at O2 Digital Media Awards 2003 Winner of best Original Soundtrack. Portugal Film Festival 2002; Nominated for best Animation. IFTN 2003.)
An Evil Cradling Frameworks, Irish Film Board. Acclaimed short film based on the book of the same name.
After I graduated from the Animation diploma at Ballyfermot CFE, I spent a year in Los Angeles working for Hyperion Films in the areas of SFX Design, Animation & Clean-up for animated feature films and series.
